Allegretto Vineyard Resort

Allegretto sits on twenty acres of vineyard, olive groves, and fruit orchards on Buena Vista Drive, a few minutes northeast of downtown Paso Robles on the east side of the Salinas River. The Tuscan-inspired estate — a 12,000-square-foot piazza, a European-style chapel, Mediterranean gardens, and roughly 40,000 square feet of event space in all — was built as a wedding-and-event destination, and with 171 rooms and suites it is one of the few Central Coast properties that can house a full wedding party plus the extended guest list without anyone leaving the grounds.

Ceremonies happen in three very different settings. The Abbey is a French-inspired chapel with vaulted ceilings, antique pews, an ornate altar, and custom stained glass — the property’s signature space, and the reason Allegretto works for couples who want a church wedding without leaving the resort. The Olive Orchard is the outdoor option, among the trees with the vineyard beyond. The Piazza Magica is the courtyard: a grand fountain at its center, cypress trees around the edge, and enough room that it doubles as the dinner-and-dancing space on warm evenings. Receptions otherwise move indoors to the Veneto Ballroom, and the Murano private dining room handles rehearsal dinners and smaller celebrations.

Catering is in-house through Cello Ristorante & Bar, the resort’s restaurant — plated, buffet, or family-style menus built around Paso Robles farms and the chef’s garden, with a menu tasting for the couple included in the upper wedding packages. Allegretto bottles its own estate wines and pours them in the on-site tasting room, so the bar can lean on the house label or bring in bottles from the couple’s favorite Paso producers (ask the events team about corkage).

Budget from the figures the resort lists publicly: a reception site fee that starts around $12,000, another $2,000 for the ceremony, catering priced per person (roughly $30 to $170 a head depending on the menu), bar service from about $40 a head, and a 20 percent service charge on food and drink. For 100 guests that lands most weddings between roughly $30,000 and $45,000 before flowers, photography, and music. The three intimate wedding packages — Giocoso, Leggiadro, and Vivezza — bundle dinner, a night or two in a luxury suite for the couple, parking, and discounted room-block rates for guests into a simpler quote for smaller celebrations. The on-site spa covers getting-ready days, and the room block is the real advantage here: 171 rooms and suites mean the whole guest list sleeps on the property.
